January 2012 Premiere Edition
I began writing personal journals at ten years old, which slowly start integrating personal reflections of my perceptions of life through my experiences, dreams, and realities of my life at the time. Mostly they were streams of consciousness and poetry. I started writing poetry about thirteen. I really started writing poetry to release feelings and thoughts that I needed to express. Poetry always was the best way for me to communicate those emotions and ideas. I have always found deep joy and passion in reading and then writing became a huge part of that, mostly due to college. Literature studies always came naturally. I am a walking, talking analogy. In 2007, I graduated with an English Literature Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton Texas. Then, I earned my teaching certificate and have been teaching English literature and writing for eight years. I taught freshmen across all genres, British literature to seniors, and writing mechanics, styles, grammar, and syntax. Currently, I am teaching eighth English. My website is titled Humanity – Insights and Perspectives. Most of the posts are literary analysis pieces both in literature, film, and TV, poetry, and philosophical streams of consciousness. I am working on a self-help book titled Life Lessons. I am heavily influenced by Faulkner, Hemingway, J. M. Coetzee, Toni Morrison, Tom Stoppard, all mythologies, folklore, theologies, and folklore that comes from those different religions. I am a huge fan and have written a literary analysis of Eric Kripke’s Supernatural. My favorite genre and time period are Greek mythology. If I continued with my education, I would focus on Greek mythology for my master’s and/or Ph.D. I love traveling and experiencing the world in different ways. I love nature, especially alone. I plan to hike the PCT in California this summer for peace and inspiration for my writing. I hunger for knowledge and truth behind our humanity with a passion to share my perceptions with the society. I value freedom of expression and writing is my best way of expressing that.
